It's a quiet Sunday night, we're sitting here watching football, and I'm thinking that it would be a perfect night to do a little writing. However, we all know that getting started is the hardest part, right? I never know what to write about and I always end up discouraged and just not starting to write anything... so if you're sitting around on this Sunday night looking for ways to fill up your Caradidi journal here's some writing prompts to get you started!

-Note Behind the Picture:

A picture on your mantle unexpectedly falls and crashes to the floor. As you go to pick it up, you notice a note hidden behind the picture. The message is from the future—and written by you. It instructs you to do something important. What does it say?

-From the Worst to the Best:

You are having the worst day of your life when someone calls and changes it for the better. Who calls, what’s it about and what series of events follow that call to help brighten your day?

-Treasue Awaits:

You receive a letter in the mail from an out-of-town relative asking you to drop everything and meet him in Boston ASAP. He doesn’t say why, but signs off on the letter (just above his name) with the phrase: “Treasure awaits.

-In 10 Words:

In only a ten word sentence, write a letter that sums up something important.

-Rejection Letter:

Write a rejection letter to your former self to explain why you need to go through difficult times in order to get where you are today.

-Pen pals:

Two people in their 30's have been pen pals since 2nd grade when they were assigned to each other as part of a school project. Write about their relationship and what happens when they finally choose to meet up.
