Looking to really impress someone in your office this week? Well, we always say, go big or go home! How about purchasing the world's most expensive pen? Aurora is the company behind the Diamante pen.
The Diamante contains over 30 karats worth of diamonds, that's more than the engagement rings of the women on my street combined probably, as well as more than any other pen on the market. Aurora will make no secret of this, making sure you're aware that they only make one each year.
The pen has a diamond placed on top of it as well, in addition to the almost 2,000 4C certified De Beers stones that adorn its platinum casings. The clip is created from 18 karat gold. The pen goes for approximately 1.28 million dollars, and can be even more opulent with an added picture of the owner, their name, or their coat of arms.
If you don't want to spend 1.28 million, maybe you'd be more comfortable with a more pedestrian number, like oh, lets say 730,000. That's the price tag for the second most expensive pen, previously the most expensive, until they were ousted by Diamante this year. The second place winner is fashioned by Montblanc & Van Cleef and Arpels, and is covered in 20 carats of rubies, emeralds 0r sapphires and almost 840 diamonds.
