I don't know about you, but I am completely melty and mesmerized over weddings in general, but the royal wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William?! Please, reading even the littlest scraps of their wedding gossip has become my guiltiest pleasure. It all started with a gorgeous sapphire and diamond ring, and plans for a spring-time wedding, but Yahoo!'s "Shine" section reported some interesting new details earlier this week.
First, the couple has chosen their siblings, Prince Harry, and her sister Pippa to serve as their best man and maid of honor respectively. What really struck me however was the fact that the rest of their wedding party, comprised of various cousins, godchildren and staff's children, have an average age of around 7. The oldest member of the wedding party is the 10 year old son of William's private secretary. I'm not sure if that's typical in England, but a little unique for the USA.
In other news, Victoria Beckham, A.K.A. Posh spice, has reported that Kate asked her for a collection of her designs, probably not for the actual wedding day but for the dinners, luncheons and parties that will precede it.
The couple has also decided that they will live in Buckingham palace, where William grew up, after they are wed.
The most interesting piece reported by Yahoo! though was that Ellen Degeneres apparently broke news this week that she should be on the guest list, as she's Kate Middleton's 15th cousin.
